#RocketTheVote: Send Letters to Your Senators

Please note this feature will not be available in the app after November 6, 2018.

For those of you in the United States, the midterm elections are coming up on November 6, 2018. It’s an exciting time when we can get involved and shape the future we want to see. But, sometimes it’s hard to get our voices heard.

That’s why we’re mobilizing our community to use the Rocketbook app to directly contact their State Senators. With #RocketTheVote, a new feature inside the app (available until November 6), users can scan and fax handwritten letters to their Senators.

#RocketTheVote: Connect, Write, Scan, and Send

Tell them how you feel about student debt and education, environmental topics, or matters around gender and inequality in society. All you have to do is connect one of your seven shortcut icons to a Senator, scan your letter, and then send.

To connect an icon to a Senator, go to Destinations > Change Destinations > Fax a U.S. Senator > Pick your Senator.

iOS screens: Choose a destination and select a Senator

Writing is a great way to crystalize your thoughts and we encourage you to voice your opinion on topics most important to you. The process of getting involved is most important

In the last midterm elections in 2014, voter turnout was close to 40% — that was the lowest turnout in 72 years. Let’s help change that. For those who can vote, we hope that you’ll take the time cast your ballot on election day. For those who can’t, we hope that you’ll make yourself heard.

Now, let’s go #RocketTheVote! Try it out by first setting up an icon! Watch this How-To video for step-by-step instructions on sending your first letter to your Senator with Rocketbook.

If you've already scanned a letter to your Senator, we encourage you to spread the word and share your letter on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #RocketTheVote. Remember that midterm elections are coming up, so check your voter registration status here
